Poverty is not a state of mind, it’s a state of lacking money. Going from not having enough money for groceries, rent, and electricity to having enough money for those necessities doesn’t reduce the value of those things. UBI isn’t for the Stanford grad startup founder, they’ll be fine; it’s for the people who can’t pay for the basics.
